Buzzards Field Ukuleles

Most bass ukuleles are fitted with synthetic strings which are under very low tension.  This makes them easy and comfortable to play, but do not lend themselves to slap-bass.  However, a rockabilly style percussive style could be adopted.
Buzzards Field sell a kit which allows a small classical guitar to become a short scale bass ukulele and accept bass ukulele strings.
